A sad decision was passed by the court this week. As we all know, Time Warner lost the Superman copyright to Jerome Siegel’s widow, Joanne Siegel. In connection with the court’s decision it is believed that Bryan Singer’s sequel to Superman, The Man of Steel and another troubled franchise, The Justice League of America are both in jeopardy. News is spreading that Joanne Siegel is drafting some projects for the popular superhero. It is speculated that this Mrs. Siegel already signed a contract with Marvel Studios to present Superman vs. Spiderman film to the big screen. This is believed to be due by 2012. She will be the producer of the project and will be taking a very non traditional route. Bryan Singer and Sam Raimi have been commisioned to co direct the film. Singer on Superman sequences and Raimi on Spiderman sequences. And will collaborate their future collision sequences. it will feature both the heroes’ worlds. Alvin Sargent will write the screenplay.
