It’s been debated, talked about and argued on but the future of the ‘Man of Steel’ is truly still a mystery. If the question is that if it would sell, it’ll be like asking nappies for the baby? Of course it’ll sell for the man of steel is part of pop culture, so much that people love him now as they have when he was created. One factor is that Marvel is kinda’ messed up right now and the recession part of life, well that’s a major one to consider.
Some say that the villain-in-charge is to change and that some other super-villain has to come up to re-light the interest in the films, but hey, what’s superman without ol’ Lex? Sure, he’s been used as plug-in when they choose the next villain in the comics but the character and persona of Lex revolves around the man of steel like that hunk of beef stuck between your teeth. Superman is Superman and whoever actor does it and who ever he’s up against, he’d still be Superman. Even President Obama has been labeled a Superman for the gargantuan task he has ahead of him is like sleeping on a bed of Kryptonite. Time will tell if there will be another sequel (which there is sure to be, the character is just so much a money earner), the question is when?
