Superman IV: The Quest for Peace is the last installment of four Superman films that was released between 1978 and 1987, with Christopher Reeve as the Man of Steel and Gene Hackman as the evil Lex Luthor. Unlike the first three Superman flicks, Superman IV was produced by Golan Globus’ Cannon Films in association with Warner Brothers. In this movie, Superman stands up against Luthor and his latest creation – a solar-powered Superman clone called Nuclear Man.

Later on, the film series would be revived with Superman Returns, the storyline of which takes place after the events of Superman II.
