The Restored International Cut of Superman II contains deleted scenes from Superman II.  Richard Donner, the director of “Superman: The Movie” also shot 70% of the footage for Superman II while he directed the first movie.  Before Richard Donner was finished filming Superman II, Marlon Brando filed a lawsuit about the amount he was getting as compared to the box office grosses.  Because of the lawsuit, Donner was removed from the Superman II project by the producers and replaced by Richard Lester.  Gene Hackman refused to return for Richard Lester’s reshoots of the scenes done by Richard Donner so for many of the scenes in Superman II, a body double plays Gene Hackman.  The Restored International Cut of Superman II includes Donner’s lost scenes from the recordings of other versions from countries all over the world
