Smallville is an American TV show following the adventures of a young Clark Kent in Smallville before he becomes Superman. Seasons one to four focuses on Clark’s high school years but during season five, the show began to take on more adult themes. In the more recent seasons, other DC superheroes and villains play a small or major part in the series. Smallville also inspired a series of young adult novels, a DC comicbook series, and several soundtracks. The show also broke the record for highest rated debut, where 8.4 million people tuned in for its pilot episode.
