As with all the superhero comic characters, there are reboots and there are re-flops of such famous a character such as Superman. Many hailed the sequel a total disaster but still some liked it the way it went. The writers and directors are still in the process of getting down and deciding if they should reboot the said character, after all he is the man of steel who cannot be killed (except by Kryptonite or his fellow people from planet krypton). The first ever comic book with Superman appearing has sold for thousands of dollars and the franchise has bee going on for a long time. For me, Christopher Reeves was the Superman, for his real-life battle that ended so fast. He was crippled yet inspired many in his shortened life on this mortal earth, now that’s super. He may have passed on to a better life but he will always be the superman we all love and cherished from times past.
Will there be a reboot of the character, only the movie people can tell. But Superman played a role in popular culture, a figure to look up to in times of darkness and inspiration for the uninspired and the hero that was for the good of man even if he wasn’t technically a man himself. He’s been portrayed as a protector, a villain and a conqueror but there may be no more time for the heroics of Superman for the future is indeed muddled as hey continue to chose the right path for the best story and possibly the best time.
